Excellence in horse riding doesn’t come easy. Years of practice, a natural flair, love for the sport and a willing horse are the bare essentials. But the horse may not be willing for a number of reasons. It maybe either be unwell or have a very sensitive back. Some of these reasons therefore fall within your control. Using proper saddlepads and numnahs that care for the horse’s comfort is one such reason. You may need to use high wither numnahs if the horse’s condition needs it. Then there are a host of horse accessories each with one sole objective-that of helping you achieve excellence in horse riding.

horse accessories include breastplate sets and girth sleeves, head collar sets and the grooming mitt, the breast check sleeves, the wither pad, the fleece saddle cover, nose band cover and various formulations for keeping the horse’s clothing and bedding washed and clean. The girth sleeve made in the finest British wool provides comfort to the horse throughout the year by preventing girth rub. The breastplate sets also help in preventing abrasion so important on horses with sensitive backs. The wither pad is in thick wool in two layers meant for the protection of the horse from withers. The fleece saddle cover keeps the saddles as good as new and smart as well while the noseband cover in pure wool and Velcro helps the horse to focus besides simply looking good. Other horse accessories such as the formulations are extremely important as these are tested free from toxicity besides being easily soluble. Sylvanian Families homes hamster-safe?

Ok, I know this sounds a little silly but I was wondering – since I have a hamster myself – are the Sylvanian Families homes (eg these ones:http://www.sylvanianshop.com/images/sylvanian-families-homes-rose-cottage.jpg ) painted with non-toxic paint? ie are they suitable for living animals? I know they’re play toys and not for real animals but the horses stable from my old collection fits inside my hamster’s cage and she really likes it so I thought, ‘Hey, she could use this as her bed!’. But since they are not made specifically for hamsters, should I risk it? I’d be worried if she chews on it and it’s toxic or something.

* It does not have the sticker on it anymore that says ‘Stables’ and it doesn’t have the horse or any of the accessories. It’s just the stable on its own.It’s big enough for her, I just don’t know if the paint is safe.
