Why are horse show clothes/accessories so expensive?

I’ve pretty much accepted that horse stuff is expensive, and today i went to a consignment shop and got AWESOME deals on my new show clothes. but i was explaining to my mom how lucky we were to get a really nice show shirt for so cheap, and that most show shirts online are a lot more, and she kept saying “WHY ARE ALL HORSE THINGS SO EXPENSIVE???”

she has a point. what makes horse show clothes so expensive? i’m not talking about tack and stuff, i know why saddles cost so much, i’m talking about stuff like a hunt coat, breeches, dress boots, etc.
