If you raise chickens at home, you will know that they are constantly preyed on by other animals. Due to its small size, chickens are exposed to predators such as cats, dogs, raccoons, large rats etc. One way of keeping your poultry safe is by building a coop for them to live in. There are many kinds of chicken coop designs. The simplest one would be a chicken tractor.

A chicken tractor is also known as an A-frame coop. This is because the structure is made from wood planks joined in the shape of the letter “A”. The frame is then surrounded by wire mesh. A chicken tractor has no floor and the bantams are free to forage on the ground for bugs and insects.

As an added advantage, any chicken droppings will fall on the ground and acts as fertilizer. The simple design also means less cleaning job for you. A chicken tractor is light weight and can be moved around. For better mobility, you can even add wheels on the base. By move the ark around, it will give your chicken access to fresh grass. It will also give the grass some room to recover and grow after being trampled on. It is recommended for you to move your chicken shelter once a week.

Before you begin your construction of the chicken tractor, decide how many poultry you want to keep. It would be a good idea to make a larger coop to take into account of future expansion. When the hens are comfortable and healthy, they will lay more eggs that will hatch into chicks later on.

How much should I sell my horse blanket for?

Retails new for $189.99

It has been used sporadically (in combination with a lightweight–so it is not used every night) during the winter for 3 years.
The only damage is a rip in the tail flap (which we are going to sew up, and it’ll be like new), and a broken buckle in the front (which we are replacing). It has never been muddy and never very dirty at all, and was washed a year ago.
I am selling it to a lady who also boards at the same barn as I, because it’s too big for my girl, and I am buying a new heavy to fit her. The lady said not to worry about washing it again before giving it to her.

How much do you think I should charge?

Personally, I’d ask $75 because of age and the rip. Even sewn, the blanket wouldn’t be worth as much as it was without the rip.

That’s nice of the lady, but if I were you I would still wash it ! Just out of courtesy and that way, it looks like a better buy and she doesn’t feel ripped off at all!
