Experienced people – give me your opinions on this horse to buy please?

What is your opinion on this little fellow? He is an Arab x Australian stock horse.

I am 5’2. Have been riding 33 years. Experienced but careful due to injuries. Looking for a dressage horse. I certainly was not looking for a coloured horse, but he caught my eye. He is the first one my instructor has liked. ARC = Adult riding club.

I wrote out a whole answer and then it was deleted… now I see why… I was going to point out something about getting pictures of him, but I see you just forgot to include it!

He sounds pretty good! He’s on the short side, but as a fellow short person (I’m 5’3″ LOL), I can honestly say that his size is probably not going to be a problem for you. On of my old horses was 14.2hh and we were perfectly fine together.

He has no major conformational flaws, his face and large eyes lead me to suspect he has a “puppy dog” personality, although I also have a feeling from the looks of him that he is going to be a little hot. But with 33 years of experience I am betting that won’t be a problem for you.

Edit—

Regarding his hooves… I do not see anything wrong with them at all. With the grass, you can’t even see enough of them to determine whether they are “bad” or “good” hooves, and even then it’s nearly impossible to tell from a picture. So I suspect his hooves are fine… but really you can not legitimately determine that from this picture.
