My favourite purdypourdycolour would be palomino, but they’re extremely rare here and I’d never buy a horse just because it was palomino or cremello. I also love pintos (whoever answered paints, that’s a breed, you got your terms mixed up). My favourite horse who I sold a couple of years ago was a liver chestnut with a grey / flaxen mane and tail, so I’ve grown really fond of that colouring as well.

My favourite breed would be Standardbreds! I’ve worked with one for a while now and to me it’s the perfect size, versatility and a great ability to learn. My favourite brand would probably be Stübben but I never have the money for it LOL! My favourie horse book is called Charlie and was written by Jenn Hughes. Beautiful book about a girl who gets an abused horse and nurses him back to health.

I don’t have a favourite movie, at least nothing horse related! =) My favourite name would be Volomite or Amorin Camaro. I don’t distinguish between show/barn names. My dream horse would be the horse I’m working on now, I was offered him for free a few months ago and turned him down, after that I realised he’s the perfect horse, intelligence, size, and a huge willingness to learn.

Outside of my horseback riding, I do extreme sports like abseiling and skydiving, I sail yachts and a Laser Radial (a racer sailing dinghy which is basically a swim toy, you can’t rely on it to stay upright!!), I ski cross-country and alpine massive amounts, and I ice skate (speed skating, none of that figure-skating stuff).

Farm Girl – I actually did that once with my sister while riding double. We were cantering bareback and I fell off, tried to stay on by holding on to her, and in consequence we both fell off. But I count that as the scariest moment I’ve had horseback riding, not funniest, and it’s still scarred me now ten years later; I’m hella scared of riding bareback. When we fell off, the horse stepped on my sister’s head, and it’s a miracle she’s alive today. When going out that day, she’d actually forgotten her helmet, and it was only on a hair that we decided to turn back for it. That’s a nice lesson for ya …. she doesn’t even ride any more now.
