Horse Aunctions is Texas???????

My family and I are moving to Texas soon, we are moving into a mansion, with 77 acres surrounding the house, with a 6 stall barn, with tack and feed room.
My mom told me a month after we move in and have all the tack and everything she would take me to a horse auction.
I was wondering the horses that go to auctions are they saddle broken, how much do they usually go for, the maximum amount?
Also we don’t have and don’t really plan on getting a horse trailer, do we need one to take the horses home form the auction?
Also do the horses they auction of just unwanted from other homes or what?
enlighten me on the Texas horse auctions!

Are you sure you want to purchase from an auction. I know there are better auctions then the ones I have seen but the last one I went to had a foal with a broken nose (and all scarred up), several very skinny studs, strangles was rampant, and I pulled some blood from some of the horses that looked iffy and about half the blood I pulled had traces of tranquillizers. I would personally buy from a seller, someone who you can sneak up on and check the tempermant of a horse. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are some very nice horses at auctions, the problem is that there is not time to properly examine a horse. If you are a beginner and have not had a education on the “bad signs” please please please take someone with you (very experienced such as a vet) Many to most horses at auction do not have medical records attached to them (records are very important)… I knew a woman who had her child hospitalized from getting hurt from a horse that looked great (“a kid’s pony”) at auction. As a young kid, I got a nice looking horse at auction, who was dead within a month… I learned the hard way. Some people can easily fool people who don’t know how the auctions are.
If you are moving into a mansion, you should be able to afford a vet to come out to auction with you, and if not that, then be able to afford buying from a reputable seller.
To actually answer your question: MOST auctions have horses of all sorts (the foals, untrained horses, pushbutton horses, ex racers, and breeds of all sorts). Some come from bad homes (actually, most of those in the lower-end auctions).
Prices, of course vary; yet they are unusually low at the moment… I was with a friend at auction a few weeks ago and a ex racing mare who won $500,000 on the track, trained in dressage, jumps 4 ft, 9 inches, and had a beautiful gait went for….. $250. I had examined her in the stall and she looked better than most there. The most expensive horse I saw recently went for about 2 grand, but that was a young gelding with exceptional breeding. You can get a good quality horse for about nothing
A horse trailer is useful if you do want a horse, but it is possible to buy your horse a ride from someone else’s trailer, of course for a price.
