A quick look at different types of saddles will reveal not only a number of such devices intended to make horseback riding easier but also a generally-interesting history of development and use. These include the classic cowboy, or Western, saddle as well as the sleek and minimal equestrian riding tool used in Olympic or other competitions.

It’s the case that, with proper care and maintenance, a good saddle can last for many years, even several decades or more. Many men and women out West have a saddle that has been handed down to them from generation to generation and so on. how far will i get in horse riding in a year?

i ride english and my first lesson i learned how to tack up, down, and trot. i will be taking lessons every other week. and plan to jump. in a year where do you think i will be with my lessons. and once my mom gets everything payed off like her student loan then i can get lessons every week but that might not happen this year. so what do you think.

You more than likely will not learn to jump this year. Jumping takes a lot of skill, it isn’t as easy as saying “Ooh, let’s go jump that!” and poof you’re done. Nuh uh.

You will probably be achieving an extended trot, knowing how to back, post, sit, halt, walk, and some other relevant things. You will probably learn how to trot poles and how to do certain things like touch your toes and 2-point as most kids just learning will really gain from that.

I don’t think you will be cantering in a year, especially with only a lesson every other week,

No offense.. But I would never let a child/adult canter at the 3rd lesson. At my 3rd lesson I wasn’t scared, but I was still a bit “timid” as in I would have never been ready to do that. And I don’t think any normal person would be. Horseback riding doesn’t come THAT naturally.
