i have my own farm what will it cost me per year if i got a horse not inc tack stable horse just feed etc?

If you are just wanting to know the costs of feed, it really depends on a few things.
1. The amount of work the horse will be doing. Is it going to be a riding horse, a barrel racer, companion, etc.? You will have to feed the horse more as the work load increases.
2. Location: Where is the horse going to be? A huge pasture filled with grass, a dry lot, etc.? If kept on a field of grass feed costs will be cheaper when the grass is in season. However, with a dry lot, you need to feed the horse more roughage and grain to keep weight and nutrients on them. Remember that the rule of thumb for a horse pasture is 2 acres per horse.
3. Age: How old/young is the horse? A younger horse may need feed b/c it is growing. A senior horse (12+ years) will need more to keep weight on, as the older horses get the harder it is to keep weight on them. You may also want to include supplements.
